Motivation…what is and where can I find it???

Tuesday, July 30th, 2013

Ugh, ever have one of those days, weeks, months where you just feel like you never want to see those running shoes again, or lift another weight, or do another squat, crunch or lunge?? What you’re lacking is MOTIVATION. Now how do you get it and what the heck is it? Motivation can come from ideas, events, things, other people’s guidance and support or it can come from within-like a personality trait. No matter where your MOTIVATION comes from, YOU are always the important role in the play.positive[5]

MOTIVATION is a drive that gives purpose and direction to what YOU do. Internal motivation when it comes to exercise is a persons pleasure and experience with exercise.  If you are a person who internally pushes yourself away from exercising by making excuses, complaining about exercising or are inconsistent with your exercise program then I have a few questions for you. WHO ARE YOU SURROUNDING YOURSELF WITH? Positive, motivated, energetic people. Or negative, lackluster, slumdog “ain’t no millionare here” people. I think that “you become the company you keep” and “The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree”. If you are constantly around poisonous people then you will become infected.

WHAT ARE YOU PUTTING IN YOUR MOUTH? Fruits, vegetables, whole wheat grains, water. Or french fries, pizza, hamburgers, soda, candy bars. I think it is hard to motivate yourself when you feel weighed down from your daily intake of crap. Your metabolism hits rock bottom and you’re dragging. It’s hard to motivate yourself when you have just downed a hamburger and fries for lunch or deep fried chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner. “You are what you eat”, that saying is true. I am waiting to turn into a skinless chicken one day. To me, what I put into my mouth in the morning will basically project how my day will go. If I were to have an empty calorie doughnut, then I would be on a sugar high then crash…looking for more sugar to get me back to that high. Oh and let’s not forget that I might as well strap that one to my thigh or stomach because that’s where it is going. If I were to have oatmeal with a wee bit of honey, then I know it is healthy and it has filled me up and given me healthy, MOTIVATING, sustainable energy without the guilt.969570_571342776256548_1000400611_n

In short, look for healthy, positive people who have the  same or similar goals that you have regarding food and fitness. Become a part of a group who workout together, make each other accountable, share tips and ideas for workout plans and nutritional plans. When you MOTIVATE yourself to become better, others will see it and become MOTIVATED to become better as well.

Focus T25 Review

Friday, July 5th, 2013

My take on T25. Some of you might have heard the buzz about a new Beachbody program that just came out called Focus T25Well, if you either have or have not heard about the release of this program, I am here to give you the 411 on what Focusing for just 25 minutes a day5 days a week can do for you.1013077_10201155824074410_636945411_n

Shaun T, the creator of Insanity and Insanity: Asylum Volume I and Volume II figured out a way to give people what they were asking for. An efficient and effective workout in a little amount of time. There are three phases to this program: Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Each phase builds upon the other by starting at your base, to core, to upper body and then strength. I am on the fourth week of this program which is the Alpha phase. It consists of Cardio, Speed 1.0, Total Body and lower body workouts and abs. On the 6th day you rest and on the 7th day you stretch, before you do 5 days of hard work for 25 minutes a day, all over again.  This first phase is all about foundation work.  The second phase, Beta is about Core.  We will talk more about that when we get to that phase.

These workouts have you breathing hard, sweating and pushing yourself to do the best you can while FOCUSING for 25 minutes straight. If you need to modify to get through all 25 minutes, you modify with Tania “The Machine”, from Insanity and Hip Hop Abs, Rock’n Body, etc… The music is fun, Shaun T is motivational as always and if you “Trust and Believe” in yourself to commit to just 25 minutes, you will have an amazing transformation.

This is not like Insanity, we get that question a lot.  Insanity gives you breaks.  T25 does not.  You will go for 25 minutes straight during Focus T25.  Insanity you will go for a few minutes and then get a short rest.  Also, Insanity is longer than T25.  Month 1 of Insanity is slightly over 30 minutes and month 2 of Insanity is closer to one hour.  Focus T25 is never more than 25 minutes exactly, that is the beauty of it.  Whether you are in the Alpha, Beta or Gamma phase you will always be working out for 25 minutes.  Lastly, Focus T25 has the modifier so ANYONE, and I mean anyone can do this workout.  Insanity is not for everyone.  It is definitely an advanced program.  If you have questions about either program just contact us.

This program is great for those who are crunched for time, looking for a full body, efficient, effective, creative work out that will give amazing results not only physically but emotionally because you will not only look good, but feel better and have more time to do the things that are important to you; spend time with family!!!!   It is by far one of my favorites and a great program to use as a hybrid to mix in with something like Body Beast, P90X or another lifting program for that extra cardio.  If you want to contact us about doing a hybrid go ahead and do so as Jo-Anne is doing Body Beast and T25 for a great mix up program.

Want More??  – How about joining our Exclusive T25 Facebook Group?

We have an amazing Facebook group that has just blown up in the last week that you are welcome to join.  Why is this important?  We can get to know you, your goals, and what you want from T25 and your life from this group. What is more important is that you will do this workout and probably more with a team of people that are there to motivate and support you on the days you are not feeling up to it and even on the days you are ready to go.  You are there for them and they are there for you.  We have found the support is the most important thing when it comes to working out and reaching goals and that is what this group is for.

If you are currently coached by Michelle or Jo-Anne you are welcome to join our exclusive T25 group.  I will approve your addition to the group after verifying you are coached by us.  If you are not coached by one of us go to our Free Fitness Coaching page and read up on how to join us for free.   We are both Certified Insanity Instructors and we will offer you free support, advice, help with any workouts, nutrition and pretty much whatever you need.  We have helped hundreds of people reach their goals and would love to help you too.

Best Way to SAVE $$$

The T25 Challenge Pack is the best option for saving money and getting your nutrition on track 100% as well as your fitness.  It will lead to perfection with this program!  It is what I and my team members do and have done for years now.   The Challenge Pack runs for $205 but let me break down why this is such an amazing deal.  The base pack of T25 alone is $119.98.  Why is the Challenge Pack a better deal?  Let me break it down for you.

If you were to buy Shakeology and T25 individually:

Base Pack T25 – $119.95 by itself

Shakeology – $129.95 – by itself

Plus Tax and Shipping – It costs something – let’s estimate $10

Total – $259.90 approx

You save over $65 with this pack compared to buying each item separately.

T25_Challenge_Packs_low_resChallenge Pack – includes T25 plus Shakeology plus FREE shipping – $205 plus tax

As you can see the Challenge Pack is a way better deal!  So you may be thinking well, I don’t really need Shakeology.  Well, let me tell you.
